Sandro Muhlach, NBI file complaint vs 2 independent contractors

The esteemed actor Sandro Muhlach, in collaboration with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), has submitted a formal complaint against two independent contractors of GMA Network, accusing them of sexual misconduct. According to a report by John Consulta on Super Radyo dzBB, Muhlach, acting as the private complainant, along with the NBI Public Corruption Division, filed a complaint for rape through sexual assault against these two individuals.

Sandro Muhlach, accompanied by his father, the former child actor Niño Muhlach, and the NBI, visited the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Manila. There, the younger actor personally took an oath before the prosecutors. Attorney Czarina Raz, representing Muhlach, expressed confidence in the complaint, stating that they possess substantial evidence to support their claims. Muhlach himself expressed his belief that the truth would eventually come to light.

In a show of support, Niño Muhlach expressed his gratitude to those who stood by his son during this difficult time. He shared his feelings of relief, acknowledging the immense burden of seeing his child suffer, unable to eat or sleep. Niño extended his thanks to everyone who supported Sandro, emphasizing the importance of solidarity in such challenging circumstances.

GMA News Online has reached out to the respondents' camp for comment but has not received a response as of the time of this posting. Last week, the independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz attended the resumption of a Senate inquiry, during which they denied the allegations of sexually assaulting Muhlach. They also appealed to the public not to treat them as convicted criminals.

In addition to the legal complaint, Muhlach filed a formal complaint against Nones and Cruz with the human resources department of GMA Network, prompting the network to initiate its own investigation. GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, confirmed that GMA has suspended the two independent contractors while the investigation is ongoing. Gozon-Valdez emphasized that GMA Network does not condone any form of sexual abuse.
